Heritage club meeting April 1

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will meet at noon Wednesday, April 1, at Sam’s Italian Foods on Route 2.

Spaghetti dinner at Speck church

RUMFORD — The Speck Mountain Evangelical Church will hold a spaghetti dinner from 5 p.m. until sold out Wednesday, April 1, at the American Legion Hall, Congress Street.

The meal includes meatballs, salad, garlic bread and desserts.

Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for seniors 60 and over children 6 and under.

Take out dinners are available.

There will also be a bake sale table.

Holy Week services announced

MEXICO — The Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, announces services for Holy Week.

Pastor Izzie Radford-Nash will participate in an ecumenical Maundy Thursday service at 6 p.m. April 2 at Virgin Memorial Chapel of Rumford United Methodist Church.

A Good Friday ecumenical service will be held at 6 p.m. April 3 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, with the pastors of the Mexico church, United Methodist Church, Rumford Point Congregational UCC, and St. Barnabas taking part. The sermon that evening will be delivered by Bishop Lane.

The deacons and laity of the Mexico Congregational Church will conduct the ecumenical Sunrise Service at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, April 5, at the Mountain Valley Middle School parking lot. Breakfast will follow at Holy Savior Church in Rumford.

Easter Sunday worship service is at 10 a.m. April 5 at Mexico Congregational UCC, the Green Church. All are welcome.

Snowmobile club meeting April 4

ANDOVER — Snow Valley Sno-Goers Snowmobile Club will hold its annual meeting, election of officers and potluck supper at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 4, at the clubhouse off Route 5.

This is the final meeting of this season and all are invited to attend.

MEXICO — The class of 52 from Stephens High of Rumford will meet at 11 a.m. Monday, April 6, at the Far East for their monthly luncheon and reunion planning.

All classmates and guests are welcome.
