AUBURN — Jane Mynahan Trask, 86, died at the Hospice House on Friday, March 27, at 5 a.m. with her daughters and grandchildren by her side.
Jane graduated from Lewiston High School, then went to Auburn School of Commerce, graduating with a degree in business.
She worked at Auburn Savings and Loan Bank until 1980, when she retired to raise her children.
Jane’s greatest enjoyment was being a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a beautiful spirit whose smile and contagious laughter was well known by all who knew her.
Jane had many true friends and would be there in a minute for anyone in need. She was well-known for being the “hostess with the mostest,” making anyone feel welcome in her home.
Jane is survived by her sister, Irene Lovely; her two daughters and their spouses, Susan and Shawn Miller, and Sheila and Kevin Pulk; and grandchildren, Scott and Shawn Miller, and Corey and Abby Hinkley, Meghan and Ben Austin; and great-grandchildren, Evan Austin, Lillian Robertson, Cason Hinkley and Brady and Bentley Miller; and good friends, Sharon Davis, Grammy, Scott and Shelly, Calvin, Alice and Quintin Riiska.
She was predeceased by her parents, John and Margaret Mynahan; her husband, Everett A. Trask; and siblings, John Mynahan, Joseph Mynahan, Mary Simpson and Connie Mynahan.
