Library Corporators to meet

FARMINGTON — All are welcome to attend the Farmington Public Library’s Annual Corporator’s Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 8. Community members interested in how they can help the library are encouraged to attend. Elections will be held for new trustees and officers. Refreshments will be served.

Caregiver Support Group

RANGELEY — SeniorsPlus is holding a Caregiver Support Group at The Rangeley Town Office. The group will meet the second Thursday of each month, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. The next one will be held on April 9.

This support group is for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. This is a wonderful chance to connect with others, share experiences, gain information, support and a friendly ear.

You do not have to preregister to attend the support group. The group is free and open to the public.

Public supper scheduled for Carthage

CARTHAGE  — A public supper will be held at Carthage Town Office building at 5 p.m. Saturday, April 11, to benefit Ted and Wanda Flagg of Carthage who lost their home in a recent house fire. Tickets will be $7 for adults and children under 12 will be $3.50. The meal will consist of baked beans, casseroles, coleslaw, rolls, pies, punch and coffee. An auction will follow the meal. Grange slates public ‘souper’

CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will hold a public “souper” supper between 5 and 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 11. Homemade soups, chowders and dessert will be available. Adult, $5; Child, $2.50. For more information, call 778-2282 or 778-5845.

New Sharon sets ham dinner

NEW SHARON — A public ham dinner will be served from 11:30 to 1 p.m Sunday, April 12, at the Franklin Masonic Lodge of New Sharon. Menu will include mashed potato, corn and beans, applesauce, rolls and homemade pie. Take out available. Adults-$8, age 6-12, $6 and under 6 free. To benefit the Building Fund.

Musicians entertain in Wilton

WILTON — The Mt. Blue High School musicians will entertain at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 12, at the First Congregational Church, 386 Main St. Two popular music groups, the Franklin County Fiddlers and Flipside, are donating their time and talents to benefit the Wilton Food Pantry. Donations to this cause will be accepted at the door.

Firearms Hunter Safety class

LIVERMORE FALLS — Spruce Mountain Adult Education will offer a Firearms Hunter Safety class from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, Monday, April 27, and Wednesday, April 29, at Spruce Mountain High School Cafeteria. Contact Spruce Mountain Adult Education at 897-6406 to register. The cost is $15.

Improvement Team seeks sale items

NEW SHARON — The New Sharon Community Improvement Team is seeking donations of items for its annual yard sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the town office. Any pieces that are still useful and not broken are welcome.

CIT members are available for pickup at homes and other locations if wanted.

Funds raised from the sale are used to support the organization’s community projects, including a vegetable garden, flower gardens and Christmas tree lighting.
