LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Robert L. Berube was celebrated by the Rev. Marc Caron on Tuesday morning, March 31, at Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish.

During Mass, Robert’s stepson, Norman Gray, proclaimed a reading from the New Testament. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Robert’s grandson, Aaron Gray and Robert’s daughter-in-law, Kay Gray.

Delegations in attendance at Mass were from the Franco American War Veterans’s Post 31 and Members of the Knights of Columbus Council 106 of Lewiston.

Following a funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, the Rev. Caron recited committal prayers which were then followed by the U.S. Army Honor Detail which played, “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Robert’s wife, Marguerite, in recognition of her husband’s military service to his country during the Cold War.

The pallbearers were Peter and Leon Berube, Norman and Aaron Gray, as well as Ronald Sabourin and Robert Beauchesne.

Arrangements by Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home of Lewiston.
