TURNER — Elections and the town meeting are scheduled for Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11, respectively, with a $2.5 million-plus budget to be decided.

The election will run from 1 to 7 p.m. at the Town Office. Two selectmen seats are open for three-year terms. Kurt Youland and Richard Keene are running for re-election against Steve Maheu, Kevin Nichols and Robert Hamlin.

Three seats are open on the Budget Committee, all for three-year terms. Ronald Harris is the lone candidate.

Two seats are open for the School Administrative District 52 Board of Directors with Peter Ricker and Jo Ann Nickerson running for re-election for three-year terms.

At 9 a.m. Saturday, the annual town meeting will be held at Boofy Quimby Memorial Center.

The town warrant has 49 articles. Selectmen recommend a budget of $2.58 million, while the Budget Committee is recommending a budget of $2.67 million.
