LEWISTON — The topic of gun control will be explored at Lifetree Café at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 23.
The Lifetree event, titled “Inside the Gun Debate: To Hunt? To Defend? To Assault?” features filmed interviews with Tom Mauser, whose son died at Columbine High School, and Michael Lang, a concealed weapon firearms instructor.
Lifetree representative Craig Cable said participants will have an opportunity to hear various viewpoints and to offer their own. “This is a community forum for open discussion,” Cable said.
This Lifetree program is being offered at Lifetree Café locations across the country as a means to inform citizens and find answers to the questions surrounding gun issues, Cable said.
Admission to the 60-minute event is free. Snacks and beverages are available. Lifetree Café is located at 1919 Lisbon Road, Lewiston.
Lifetree Café is a place where people gather for conversation on life and faith in a casual coffeehouse-type setting.
