LEWISTON — At least one person was reported injured late Wednesday after a car slid off the turnpike and struck a guardrail just beyond the Lewiston exit.
Firefighters from Lewiston and Auburn joined Maine State Police at the scene of the 11:30 p.m. crash on the northbound lane. Early reports were that extrication was required to remove the victim or victims from the sedan.
The identities of those involved were not immediately available.
The crash occurred during a snowstorm that dumped several inches.
State police were investigating the crash.
