WATERVILLE — The scores are getting closer but the results remain the same as the University of Maine at Farmington men’s lacrosse team dropped it’s 11th straight game without a win this season.

Johnson State defeated UMF 11-6 Saturday evening at Thomas College in a North Atlantic Conference clash. The loss left the Beavers languishing in the basement of the NAC with two conference games remaining.

Cameron McAllister paced the Beavers effort scoring three goals, all coming in the first half when UMF finished the half with the score knotted 4-4.

UMF goalkeeper Joseph Maldonado made 11 saves while his Badger counterpart, Jay Palmisano, made 10.

UMF will travel to Castine to face Maine Maritime Academy, on Tuesday. The Mariners are the No. 3 team in the NAC. Thursday, the Beavers are off to Lyndon State where the Hornets sit just ahead of the Beavers in eighth.

The Beavers last regular season game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 at home versus non-conference foe Daniel Webster.
