Quick Family Pizza

2 Cups flour

4 Teaspoon baking powder

1 Teaspoon salt

½ Cup shortening

1 Small onion, chopped

1 Pound ground beef

Salt and pepper to taste

3 Cups spaghetti sauce

4 Ounces mozzarella cheese, grated

Sift the dry ingredients together and cut in shortening as you would for a pie crust. Add milk and stir until moist. Spread in a well-greased 9-by-13-inch baking pan. Brown onions and beef until beef is done. Add salt and pepper. Spread beef mixture over crust. Top with spaghetti sauce and sprinkle with grated mozzarella cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.

Scalloped Potatoes with Hot Dogs

 1 Can cheddar cheese soup

1 Cup milk

½ Teaspoon salt

¼ Teaspoon pepper

4 Cups sliced potatoes

4 Beef hot dogs, sliced

1 Small onion, chopped

1 Tablespoon butter or margarine

Dash of paprika

Mix soup, milk, salt and pepper in a bowl. Place potatoes, hot dogs, onion and soup mixture in alternate layers in a buttered casserole. Dot with butter or margarine. Sprinkles with paprika. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Uncover for the last 10 minutes of baking.

Easy Coffee Cake

2 Cups flour, sifted

2 Teaspoons baking powder

¾ Teaspoon salt

½ Cup sugar

6 Tablespoons shortening

1 Egg, well beaten

½ Cup milk

Your favorite preserves

 Sift together all the dry ingredients. Cut in shortening. Mix egg and milk and add to flour mixture. Stir until well blended. Pour into a greased 9-inch round baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Top with your favorite preserves and bake additional five minutes. Good as is or with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.

No-Bake Peanut Butter Cookies

2 Sticks margarine, melted

2 ½ Cups powdered sugar

1 ¾ Cups graham cracker crumbs

1 Cup peanut butter

2 Cups chocolate chips

1 Adult

Have an adult help melt the margarine and mix it with the powdered sugar, graham cracker crumbs and peanut butter. Mix well. Pack the mix into an ungreased 9-by-13-inch pan. Have and adult help once again to melt the chocolate chips and spread over the peanut butter mixture. Chill completely then cut into squares and serve.
