The African Children’s Choir will make three appearances at churches in Mechanic Falls and Auburn on Sunday, May 10.
The Choir is a nonprofit humanitarian and relief organization dedicated to helping Africa’s most vulnerable children today so they can help Africa tomorrow.
The choir will perform well-loved children’s songs, traditional spirituals and gospel favorites. Concerts are free and open to all. A free-will offering will be taken to support African Children’s Choir programs in education, relief and development.
The local programs on May 10 include:
* 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the Vineyard Church of Mechanic Falls, 90 Lewiston St. FMI: 207-345-9501.
* 7 p.m. at the East Auburn Baptist Church, 560 Park St. FMI: 207-782-0348.
The African Children’s Choir recently recorded a CD with Sarah Hickman, “Love is a Journey,” and the choir will have a small role in the upcoming “Pan” movie starring Hugh Jackman.
