PARIS — Carol Ann Farrar, 56, of South Paris, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 20, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family and friends, after a long battle with cancer. The daughter of Joyce and Hedley Reid, she was born on Oct. 10, 1958, one of four children.  She dedicated her life to her family, raising seven children and playing a significant role in the life of her grandchildren.

Mrs. Farrar loved people. She never met a stranger and her kindness shone through in everything that she did. She worked for many years at KFC, not only did she love being around the people but it was close enough to home to still be with her children. Mrs. Farrar valued her family more than anything, so it was fitting that she be surrounded by her family and friends when she lost her battle. She fought till the end, as she believed her job as a mother was not yet finished.

She is survived by her mother, Joyce Reid of Hebron; brothers James Reid of Hebron and Bill Reid of Minot; and her boyfriend of 16 years, Dana Mack, of South Paris; her children Lisa Williams of Harlingen, Texas, Christine Davis of Norway, Bobbi Jo Farrar of La Feria, Texas, Robert A. Farrar of Auburn, Jonathan Farrar of Farmington, Brandon Mack of South Paris, Brittany Mack of South Paris and eight grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at 2 p.m at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 45 Main St., South Paris. Following the funeral, there will be a celebration of her life at Tuscany Hall in South Paris at 3 p.m. Online condolences may be shared with her family at www.chandlerfunerals.com.
