BRUNSWICK — The Maine State Music Theatre’s 2015 season begins June 3 with the upbeat comedy “The Full Monty.”
The 10-time Tony Award nominee is filled with honest affection, engaging melodies and a raucous mix of humor and pizzazz.
MSMT will also perform one of the first regional premieres of the Broadway musical sensation “Sister Act” on June 24.
The season continues on July 15 with the classic “The Music Man,” a family-friendly story and six-time TONY Award-winning musical comedy that has entertained audiences since 1957.
MSMT will close out the season with Mel Brooks’ comedy “Young Frankenstein” on Aug. 5.
Tickets to MSMT’s productions range from $43 to $70 and go on sale April 29. Subscriptions to the full season are on sale until June 20th.
MSMT’s Theatre for Young Audiences will bring “Curious George” to the stage on June 10 and “Shrek, Jr.” on Aug. 17.
MSMT will also offer two special Monday-night events beginning with “Fame” on June 15.
On August 10, the variety show “Footlight Follies” will return. This is MSMT’s largest fundraising event of the year.
