Rumford Hospital Auxiliary Seeks Items for Yard Sale

RUMFORD — The Rumford Hospital Auxiliary is seeking items for its Saturday, May 16, yard Sale.

Items accepted include major appliances, clothing, furniture, rugs, kitchen goods, books and office items.

Proceeds from the yard sale will be donated to Rumford Hospital.

Members of the Auxiliary will be at 209 Lincoln Ave. Friday mornings during May to accept donations. Pick up can be arranged.

Child care services to transfer to SACC

OXFORD — Community Child Care Center will transition child care services to Oxford SACC.

The transition began March 23, when school-aged children transferred to the before and after school program, ClubRowe.

The second phase will begin Monday, May 4, when infant toddlers and pre-school children will transfer to the early learning center, The Learning Tree.

Over the next year, Oxford SACC will seek a location in the town of Norway to build an early learning center, which will merge both of these locations together as well as increase the overall licensing capacity of the program.

Nature club to meet May 4

OXFORD — The Twin Town Nature Club will meet for a pot luck dinner at 6 p.m. Monday, May 4, at the Oxford Congregational Church, 252 King St.

Rumford Hospital fashion sale set for May 4, 5

RUMFORD — The Rumford Hospital will have their Spring Jewelry and Fashion Sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, May 4, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 5, in Conference Room A at the Rumford Hospital.

Items for sale will be marked 30 to 75 percent below department store prices. The sale is open to the public.

The event is sponsored by the Rumford Hospital Auxiliary.

Hope Association resumes selling baskets

RUMFORD — The Hope Association will again sell hanging basket collections and floor containers on Monday, May 4.

Orders can be placed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily at 85 Lincoln Ave., Rumford.

Socrates Cafe to meet

NORWAY — Pine Needles Quilting group of Norway and South Paris will hold a meeting for the western Maine region at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at the Congregational Church of Norway.

The speaker will be Kinberley Hamlin of the Fiber and Vine Shop of Norway.

The meeting is open to the public. People who attend are asked to bring something for show and tell. Coffee and breakfast snacks will be served.

RUMFORD — Stephens High School Class of 1952 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 5, at The Little Red Hen in Andover.
