LEWISTON — St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center will hold the second annual Commit to Get Fit Challenge 3K walk and 5K/10K run on Saturday, May 2, at the Medical Building at 15 Gracelawn Road in Auburn.

This is a family friendly event with activities for the kids. There will be face painting, bubbles and physical challenges.

Proceeds benefit the St. Marguerite d’Youville Fund for the Needy. This fund assists individuals in financial crisis to pay for groceries, gas, and rent. Last year, the fund distributed more than $34,800 and helped 337 people.

The opening ceremony is at 8 a.m. The 10K starts at 8:30 a.m.; the 3K walk and 5K run begin at 8:45 a.m.
