STRONG — Kendra Snow of Strong was guest of honor at a surprise baby shower on Saturday, April 18 at the Parish House in Strong.
The hall was creatively decorated with pink tablecloths, spring flowers and a Noah’s Ark theme. A light luncheon was served along with a Noah’s Ark cake made by Raylene Tolman.
About 50 guests attended from Strong, Avon, Phillips, Sabattus, New Hampshire, Ellsworth, Belfast, Wilton, and Farmington. Each guest introduced themselves and told how they knew Kendra and gave her a bit of advice on how to raise her daughter or about labor and delivery.
The guest received many, many gifts. Several of the gifts were homemade sweaters, hats, booties, afghans, blankets and baby quilts. One of the sweater sets was made by 100-year-old Dottie Brown of Sabattus who was one of the guests at the shower. This was the 2nd set she has made for baby Snow.
Eight-year-old Amelia Donahue of Ellsworth tended the guest book.
Kendra lives in Strong with her husband, Dan, and is an occupational therapist for North Country.
