PHILLIPS — Margaret Huff was guest of honor at a surprise “grandmother’s” shower at the Phillips Elementary School.

The party was planned by her friends Rebecca Croteau, Tami Bredeau, and sister Shelley Seavey. Several games were enjoyed by the guests as well as a light supper and a shower cake made by Raylene Tolman.

Guests included many of her co-workers, close friends and retired friends she had worked with at the Primary School. Margaret received many gifts that she could use for her new granddaughter. She received several homemade blankets, afghans, sweater sets, bibs, dresses and an adorable little lamb basket-filled with bath supplies made by guests at the shower. She was also presented a gift card from her friends and co-workers.

After the shower, Kathy Howard, school librarian, made a beautiful ABC book using the pictures she took at the shower.

Mrs. Huff has been the kindergarten teacher at Phillips Elementary School for the last 40 years and is planning to retire at the end of this school year to take care of her granddaughter.
