RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Harold “Blackie” Hebert was celebrated on Friday, May 1, at 10 a.m., at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church, with the Rev. Greg Dube as the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar assistant. Readings were proclaimed by Rheanne Frost and Lynsie Dupuis. Presenting gifts to the altar were Keslie, Jacob, Taylor, Tanner and Jacob. Prayer of the Faithful was proclaimed by Adam Dupuis. Words of remembrance from his daughters, was read by Rheanne Frost. Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections included “Be Not Afraid,” “Amazing Grace,” “Here I Am Lord” and “How Great Thou Art.” A reception was served by the Daughters of Isabella was held in the church hall after the funeral Mass. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
