The red flag warning that includes all of Vermont and much of New Hampshire and Maine, most of New York, eastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey is in effect through Monday evening.
The Weather Service says fires may spread “rapidly and uncontrollably.” The danger is heightened by dry conditions, warn weather, low humidity and gusty winds.
