LEWISTON — Keshia Thanephonesy and her partner, Zach Pratt, a Lewiston native, have opened boba, a new Asian bistro of sorts, at 990 Lisbon St.

The business offers some of the healthiest dishes from Southeast Asia, while using many local ingredients.

Pratt’s culinary career began at The Green Ladle at the Lewiston Regional Technical Center. In an effort to give back to his mentors there, chefs Gard Briggs and Dan Caron, boba will mentor young chefs from The Green Ladle.

Among the offerings are: pho, which is beef broth noodle soup from Vietnam, dumplings of various flavors and styles, and bubble tea, a Taiwanese tapioca pearl milk tea.

Hours of operation are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

They are planning a small grand-opening celebration Saturday, May 9.
