FARMINGTON — Police said a Farmington woman was charged with failing to stop at a traffic light after her vehicle hit one leaving Wal-Mart on Tuesday.
Jessica Schleher, 31, was driving a 2008 GMC Ryder rental truck west on Routes 2 and 4 at about 8:15 p.m. when she failed to stop at the light, Bonnie Pomeroy, Farmington Police Department spokesman, said. Schleher’s truck struck a 2013 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Penny Lesperance, 51, of Farmington, who was leaving Wal-Mart, Pomeroy said.
Schleher complained of sore shoulders and was taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital by a NorthStar ambulance.
Sgt. Edward Hastings IV issued a summons for a moving violation, Pomeroy said.
The truck received minor damage but the van had to be towed from the scene.
