WILTON — The Wilton Career Center has listed its Free May workshops. The workshops are open to the public, and registration is required to attend. The Wilton CareerCenter is located at 865 U.S. Route 2E in Wilton.

Resume and Interviewing Skills will explore the basics of resumes, applications, interviews and how job seekers can market themselves. Class will be held in two locations. At the Wilton Career Center, it will run from 1 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 6. The second location will be in Mexico from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, May 14, at Region 9 Adult Ed.

MEOC-101-Essentials of College Planning will introduce people to educational opportunities in general and MEOC services in particular. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, May 14.

Vocational Rehabilitation Orientation is designed for people with disabilities who are considering vocational rehabilitation services. Orientations are held the first Thursday of the month. Service providers are also welcome to attend. Registration is not required. It will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 7.

Gateways to Employment will provide participants with more information about the resources that the CareerCenter has to offer. It will take place on two dates, from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays, May 6 and May 20.

Small business training will also be offered. Workshops are “Starting Your Own Small Business,” “Access to Capital” and “Federal and State Resources for Small Business.” Contact Wilton CareerCenter to sign up for these workshops.
