1927 – 2015
AUBURN — Gloria Maria Sirois, 87, formerly of Roxbury Pond, passed away on Wednesday, May 6, at the Odd Fellows Home in Auburn following a brief illness.
She was born in Van Buren, on Sept. 9, 1927, a daughter of Fidele and Genevieve (Lajoie) Marquis.
She was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior and was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Gloria enjoyed gardening, oil painting, crossword puzzles, reading, walking and camping in Freeport.
Surviving are her children, Linda Whitmore of Lewiston, Catherine Lemay and husband, Robert, of Lewiston, Lawrence Gilman of Burns, Wyo., and Daniel S. Sirois and wife, Romala, of Rumford; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gilman E. Sirois; three brothers, Norman, Clifford and Joseph; and a sister, Sylvia Richard.
