1933 – 2015

AUBURN — Theresa A. Fowler, 81, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 7, at the Hospice House in Auburn with her family by her side.

She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 1, 1933, a daughter of the late Fernand and Simone (Pelletier) Gagnon. She grew up in the area was educated through local schools. After school, Theresa spent a good part of her life as a machine operator for various companies, until her retirement from Tambrands. She will always be remembered for her love and passion of wanting to spend time and be around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne Howes and her life partner, Richard Roy, of Auburn, Lillian Arnold and her husband, Philip, of Auburn, and Michael Fowler and his wife, Jeannette, of Auburn. She also leaves behind a sister, Rita Warren of Topsham; and a brother, Henry Gagnon and his wife, Pauline, of Lewiston. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Tracy Paradis and her husband, Christopher, Jason Howes, Matthew Howes and his wife, Meagan, Philip Whittier and his wife, Deb, Tony Langlois and his wife, Elizabeth, Pamela Whittier and her life partner, Scott McDonald, Nicole Waldrin and her husband, Ryan, Natalie Bean and Jonathan Fowler and his wife, Kelly; as well as all of her great-grandchildren, Devynn Maurice and his wife, Danielle, Jason, Bella and Ethan Howes, Anthony McDonald, Isaac, Bella, Claudia and Hunter Langlois, Gage Arnold, Nicki and Josh Whittier, Emily, Nicholas, Lane and Adam Waldrin, and Rhianna and McKenzie Bean; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Melvin, in 2008.

The family wishes to send their sincere thanks to the entire staff of the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, especially Mary, for their compassion, care and devotion to Theresa in her final days.
