RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Medora A. “Dodie” Mahar, of Rumford, was celebrated on Saturday, May 9, at noon, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Greg Dube as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Danny Boy,” “Amazing Grace,” “Ave Maria,” “Hosea” and “On Eagle’s Wings.” Readings from the Old and New Testament were pronounced by nephew, James Grolley. Prayers of the faithful were given by nephew, James Grolley. The gifts were presented by nephew, James Grolley. The eulogy was written by sons, Michael and Stephen Mahar; and daughter, Kathryn Mahar; and was read by her nephew, James Grolley. Interment will be at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta, at a later date. A reception was held in the Parish Hall of the church and served by St. Timothy Circle and Daughters of Isabella.
