1940 – 2015
LEWISTON — Patricia Ann Adair, 74, of New Gloucester, passed away on Thursday, May 7, at Central Maine Medical Center.
She was born in Monticello, on Nov. 3, 1940, a daughter of Frank and Mildred (Kneeland) Prosser and attended Houlton schools and Ricker High School.
She married Forrest Adair on March 23, 1956.
For most of her life, Patricia worked in shoe shops in the Lewiston and Auburn area as a stitcher. In 1980, she went to work for General Electric in Auburn, until 1997 when she retired due to her health.
Patricia loved to read, go shopping, crocheting and playing golf. She and her husband loved going out to eat lunch daily.
They have lived in New Gloucester since 1973.
She leaves behind her husband, Forrest of 59 years; a son, Rodney Adair and his wife, Sandra, of New Gloucester; a daughter, Serae Hemond and her husband, Donald, of Minot; two brothers, Charlie Prosser and his wife, Ora, of Florida, and Wendall Prosser and his wife, Merriem, of Pittsfield; two sisters, Alice Miller of Mars Hill and Carolyn Graham of Arizona; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Patricia was predeceased by brothers, Basil, Murrey and Earl Prosser; and sisters, Theresa Sadler, Doris Bishop and Bertha McIver.
