PARIS — This year, National Nursing Home Week will be celebrated at the Maine Veterans’ Home in South Paris. National Nursing Home Week is sponsored by the American Health Care Association. This year’s celebration runs from May 10 to 16. 

Among planned events for this year’s celebration include animal day, a Mother’s Day tea, a chili cook-off, skits and several special meal times for residents and staff. On one day, staff are encouraged to wear their favorite red, white and blue attire.
