WINSLOW — The Mt. Blue boys track earned a second place team finish Friday while the Cougar girls finished third at a Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference track meet at Winslow, Friday.
Mt. Blue boys scored 84 points to edge third place MCI with 82.83 while Belfast cruised to the win scoring 155.5 points.
In the girls meet Mt. Blue netted 71 points trailing Belfast, in second at 94, and first place Skowhegan at 118.5.
Podium finishes for the Cougar boys included: William Frederic, 3rd, 400 meter dash; Aaron Willingham, 1st, 800 meter run; Willingham, 1st, 1600 meter run; Isaiah Reid, 2nd, 1600 meter run;Dan Lesko, 1st, 3200 meter run; Jon Lesko, 3rd, 3200 meter run; Frederic, McKinley Goozey, Sam McIntosh, Willingham, 2nd, 4×400 meter relay; Dan Lesko, Max Blais, Trevayne Jackson, Isaac Seigle, 1st, 4×800 meter relay; Nate Pratt-Holt, 1st, triple jump; Steven Minns, 2nd, 1600 meter race walk; Park Laflin, 3rd, 1600 meter race walk.
Podium finishes for the Cougar girls included: Maggie Hickey, 2nd, 800 meter run; Hickey, 2nd, 1600 meter run; Meg Charles, 3rd, 1600 meter run; Katherine Gunther, 1st, 3200 meter run; Meg Charles, 2nd, 3200 meter run; Isabelle Thomas, 3rd, 100 meter hurdles; Emilee Eustis, Julia Ramsey, Hickey, Gunther, 3rd, 4×400 meter relay; Hickey, Eustis, Charles, Gunther, 1st, 4×800 meter relay; Anna Glass, 2nd, 1600 meter race walk.
