LISBON – For a veteran team looking to have success this softball season, it wasn’t the most encouraging of starts for Oak Hill.

The Raiders lost to some quality teams early and have been battling from the bottom of the Western B standings ever since.

“It was a little scary,” junior center fielder Jamie Prue said. “It was loss, loss, loss. We knew we weren’t that team. But they were against teams like Madison and Dirigo. They’re all really respectable teams that have good hitters and good fielders.”

Oak Hill has turned the season around with a winning streak, but a winning record doesn’t always mean a rise in the standings. With Wednesday’s 10-7 win over Lisbon, Oak Hill has now won five straight and hope a rise in the Western B standings #gallery-1 { margin: auto; } #gallery-1 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-1 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-1 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
