FARMINGTON — Western Maine Community, in collaboration with the CareerCenter, Disability Employment Initiative, Central/Western Maine Workforce Investment Board, Western Maine Community Action and the University of Maine at Farmington, will offer a job and resource fair from 9 a.m. to noon on Thursday, May 21, at the University Fitness and Recreation Center, 152 Quebec St., Farmington.

The community job fair was created to help students, alumni and community members in western Maine learn about employment and service opportunities throughout the state. More than 40 Maine employers and service providers will be in attendance, including educational, manufacturing, retail, public service, customer service, health care and social service, Maine State agencies, U.S. military, veteran resources and more.

Employers that will be there include: Advance Auto Parts, Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice, Barclaycard, Androscoggin Bank, Cindi Ferguson, CPA, PC, Cianbro, Assistance Plus, Carbonite, Leap Inc., Bonney Staffing, Maine Department of Health and Human Services, MAS Home Care, Kelly Services, Growing Opportunities Inc., HW Staffing Solutions, Creative Innovations, Labor Ready, Learning Works, Home Care for Maine, Maine Behavioral Health Organization, Living Innovation, Maine AgrAbility Project, T-Mobile, SequelCare of Maine, Ted Berry Company Inc., Time Warner Cable, Wal-Mart, Support Solutions, NAMI Maine Family Respite Program, Turner Publishing Inc., Tri-County Mental Health, VA Togus Medical Center, Care and Comfort, TD Bank, ATWork Personnel Services, Arcadia New England, Bank of America, Hilton Garden Inn, Expert Staffing, Brackett Mechanical, Polycor and others.

Resources will include Central Maine Community College, C.A.R.E.S Inc., CareerCenter, Women, Work and Community, Job Corp, University of Maine at Augusta, University of Maine at Farmington, Maine Small Business Administration, Kaplan University, Sexual Assault Prevention and Resource Services, New England College of Business and Finance and more.
