JAY — North Jay Bartlett Memorial Methodist Church Thrift Shop will open for the season on Saturday, May 16.

The shop will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays through Sept. 12 on Route 17.

Pancake breakfast Sunday in Auburn

AUBURN — St. Philip’s Church will hold a pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, May 17, at the church on Route 4, across from Lake Auburn.

The cost of the meal is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and 3 for children ages 5 and younger.

The breakfast is open to the public and is sponsored by the family groups of the parish.

‘Healthy Aging’ is sermon topic

PARIS — “Healthy Aging” is this Sunday’s sermon topic given by Anita White on May 17 at the First Universalist Church on Pine Street.

Music for the 10 a.m. service is under the direction of Donna Hurd, and Sunday School is under the direction of Renee Wales.

Coffee and fellowship will follow the worship service, and all are welcome. Childcare is available, and the First Universalist Church is wheelchair accessible.

Ham supper set for May 23

TURNER — The North Turner Union Presbyterian Church will host its annual Traditional Ham Supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23, at the GAR Hall in North Turner.

The cost of the supper will be by donation, which will be collected at the door. Proceeds will go toward church operational expenses, including the community outreach programs, the Turner Food Bank and the Community Clothing Center.

The hall is located on Route 219 about one-quarter of a mile east of the Route 219 and Route 4 intersection.
