LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Lucille J. Gagnon who died Saturday, May 9, was celebrated Saturday morning, May 16, by the Rev. Aaron Damboise at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish.

During the Mass, Lucille’s great-niece, Lisa Jones, proclaimed a New Testament reading from the Thessalonians. The Prayer of the Faithful was recited by great-great-niece, Hailey Severy. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Lucille’s nephew, Marc Gagnon; and grandnephew, Ryan Gagnon.

Following a funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, the Rev. Damboise recited committal prayers at the cemetery.

At the conclusion of services all in attendance were invited to the home of Ron and Josie Hebert in Mechanic Falls for a reception of fellowship.

The pallbearers were Ethan Severy, Clinton Jones, Raymond Gagnon and Aaron Gagne, as well as Ron and Michael Hebert.
