LIVERMORE FALLS — Jay Elementary School art students once again have their work in the public eye.
This time, their pieces will be on display during the month of May at the Chuck Wagon Restaurant. Last week, an Artists’ Reception was held for the 3rd Annual Spring Art Show.
Art teacher Tamara Lindsey said, “My art students make me look good.” Some of her students couldn’t attend the reception as they were busy preparing for the school’s “Willy Wonka” production.
Lindsey said, “It is really wonderful that these businesses let us celebrate kids’ art.” Between the showings at Otis Federal Credit Union and the Chuck Wagon, every art student at the Jay Elementary School has the opportunity for their work to be displayed in public each year.
Colorful aluminum foil snakes slither across windows while sunflowers, colorful owls and creative creatures adorn the walls of the restaurant. Pieces using folk art style landscapes, one point perspective and pottery may also be found.
The students whose work can be seen at the Chuck Wagon this month are Neveahlee and Eveangelia Blessing, Daemion Rollins, Rylee Purrington, Avery Bessey, Avery Ryder, Mallory Clark, Jaziah Lavoie, Ashley Bailey, Faith Maurais, Myah Paul, Isabella Lewis, Connor Blanche, Brayden Libby, Emma Towers, Mariyah Fournier, Lindsay Racette, Lucas Towers, Tulane Walton, Paris Howes, Jasmine Marks, and Ella Plourde.
