NORWAY — The Norway Memorial Day parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, May 25, in front of the Advertiser Democrat on Main Street.

All local organizations interested in participating in the parade will meet behind the Fare Share Natural Food Store, where assembly will begin at 8:15 a.m.

The parade will include the Norway Police Department, Stone-Smart Post 82, American Legion and Auxiliary, Norway Fire Department, the Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School marching band and local Girl and Boy Scouts.

A wreath will be placed at the Civil War Memorial.

The Memorial Day ceremony will include music by the band and taps with a laying of wreaths at the Norway Memorial Park by the Stone-Smart Unit 82, American Legion Auxiliary.

All are invited for doughnuts and refreshments at American Legion Post 82 following the ceremony.

In case of rain, the parade will be replaced by a memorial ceremony at the Norway American Legion.
