Earl Rogers to guest speak Sunday

STONEHAM — North Waterford and Stoneham churches will invite a guest speaker, Earl Rogers of South Paris, to the pulpit as candidate for Interim Pastor for the Oxford County United Parish.

The services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, May 24, at the East Stoneham Congregational Church, Route 5, Stoneham.

Community Clothing Center to open May 27

TURNER — The Community Clothing Center on the town green in North Turner will be opening for the season on Wednesday, May 27.

It will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays through October.

The center has clothing for every age group including babies and toddlers as well as shirts, pants, jackets and sweaters for adults of all ages.

The clothing center is an outreach program of the North Turner Union Presbyterian Church, and any proceeds from sales go toward local heating oil assistance and the community outreach programs of the church.

Farmington plant, yard sale is May 29, 30

FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church will hold a two day combination plant and yard sale from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, at the Holman Parish House, 227 Main St., Farmington.

Proceeds will benefit outreach, community service and youth programs.

Church to host indoor yard, food sale

MONMOUTH — An indoor yard and food sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the East Monmouth Church Vestry and Basement, Route 135, East Monmouth.

The sale will feature household items, furniture (antique and used), dishes, toys, sporting goods, books, collectibles, electronics, tools and jewelry.

There will be homemade goods for sale, along with lobster rolls, grilled hot dogs and haddock chowder to eat in or take out.

North Jay thrift shop open Saturdays

JAY — The North Jay Bartlett Memorial Methodist Church Thrift Shop will be open Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Sept. 12 on Route 17.
