FARMINGTON — Franklin County Farm Bureau will host a Beef Basics workshop at 7 p.m Thursday, May 28, in the downstairs conference room at the Farmington Municipal Building. The workshop is for people interested in raising their own freezer beef.

Cindy Kilgore, livestock specialist with the Maine Dept. of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, will share information on how to raise the beef. Feed requirements, housing, health and other factors will be discussed. Written materials will be provided, as well as light refreshments. The bureau is asking people planning to attend to RSVP by May 26.
