Pancake breakfast to be served in New Gloucester

NEW GLOUCESTER — A pancake breakfast will be held from 6 to 10 a.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Amvet Hall, 1095 Lewiston Road.

Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 10.

Blood drive at Maine Wildlife Park

GRAY — An American Red Cross blood drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 30, at the Maine Wildlife Park.

Donors who register receive free admission to the park and a discount for immediate family members on that day. Preregister at www.redcrossblood.org.

Widows Felowship to meet

LISBON — The Lisbon Area Widows Fellowship will meet at 11:30 a.m. Monday, June 1, at Lisbon United Methodist Church, School Street.

A pot luck lunch will follow the meeting.

All interested widows in the area are invited to attend.

The group meets on the first Monday of each month. If the first Monday falls on a holiday, the group meets on the second Monday.

Daisy Girl Scouts flower party

AUBURN — Daisy Girl Scouts will welcome new girls at flower parties and sign ups in Auburn and Lewiston.

Auburn: 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, at the United Methodist Church of Auburn, 439 Park Ave.

Lewiston: 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Lewiston High School.

The flower part will explore traditions and teach what being a Girl Scout means. Each girl can also make her first swap.

The Daisies are the youngest girl scout members with girls in kindergarten and first grade in the fall. Becoming a Daisy is free, and the program will teach girls about helping the community, will give new adventures and offer a setting to make friends.
