HALLOWELL — The Maine Conservation Corps recently welcomed Auburn native Jordan Tate. She joined as an AmeriCorps member for a term of national service as a Maine Conservation Corps environmental steward.

Jordan is a 2012 graduate of Edward Little High School and a 2015 graduate of the University of New England with a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science.

The MCC conducts conservation projects throughout Maine, including extensive recreational trail construction and rehabilitation.

Gov. Paul LePage and Commissioner Walt Whitcomb of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry also welcomed Jordan, while highlighting the important work that the MCC does on behalf of Maine citizens.
