LIVERMORE — This year’s annual town report is being dedicated to Diane Castonguay Gould, an individual dedicated to her family and an active community member, who was tragically killed in January. Members of her family attended last week’s select board meeting when the dedication was announced.
The dedication begins, “It is with honor that we dedicate this Town Report in the memory of Diane Castonguay Gould.”
Diane’s number one priority was her family. She was always involved with her boys, spent time with her mother, and went for parts for her father whenever needed. She was never still, and was always doing something.
One of eight children in a farming family, Diane was no stranger to hard work. Her fortitude and great sense of humor were well known by many.
Diane was also an award-winning photographer. One of her many flower pictures graces the cover of the Livermore 2015 Town Report. Her pictures may also be seen on the Livermore Facebook page. She was often found behind the lens of her camera recording community events. She shared many of her action shots.
Diane had a huge, generous heart. She and her husband, Tom, did many things for children and families in the Livermore community. She never wanted those she helped to know of her generosity. Diane also spent countless hours volunteering at the school.
The dedication concludes, “Diane leaves behind a legacy of compassion, dedication and love for family and community. Her commitment to this community and her involvement in so many of our lives will not be forgotten. It is with great honor that we dedicate this Town Report in the memory of Diane Castonguay Gould.”
Diane was wife of William “Tom” Gould, mother of three sons, and a school board director for RSU #73. She had previously served as a director for S.A.D. 36 prior to the consolidation of that district with Jay.
