SUMNER — Sumner firefighters and Tri-Town Ambulance & Rescue were sent to the J&J Variety store on Main Street late Saturday morning for an all-terrain vehicle crash about four miles into the woods from there.
They were to meet an ATV rider at the convenience store at 823 Main St. who would lead rescuers to a female injured in the accident that happened sometime before 11:16 a.m.
Maine Warden Tony Gray was also en route to investigate the incident. He had not returned phone calls requesting information by Saturday evening.
