PARIS — Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills will once again welcome dogs and dog lovers to its third annual Fun Dog Day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Oxford Fairgrounds.

The day will start with an opening ceremony featuring the Blessing of the Dogs, followed by the fundraising Fun Dog Walk, a short and fun walk suitable for families, dogs and people of all abilities. Those wishing may walk as an individual or as a team and don’t need to have a dog to walk.

All dog lovers are encouraged to gather donations from friends, neighbors, family and co-workers, and join in to support all the dogs cared for at the shelter.

All registered walkers will receive a bandana, with dog-themed prizes and T-shirts awarded for different levels of funds raised. Registration is $10 for individuals and $25 for teams. Sign-up forms are at www.rpc.petfinder.com, at the shelter at 9 Swallow Road, or on Facebook at Fun Dog Day.

Free activities throughout the day include a dog show (all dogs are winners), dog games, dog water park, pup tent (kids’ activities), working dog and agility demos, raffles, food, vendors and educational booths. Responsible Pet Care has many local business sponsors and participants.

Responsible Pet Care is a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter and adoption center serving more than 700 homeless pets each year. All proceeds from the Fun Dog Walk will benefit the animals at the shelter.
