1957 – 2015
TOPSHAM — Thomas Alfred Bouchard, 57, of Topsham, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, surrounded by his family.
He was born on June 19, 1957, a son of the late Bertram “Pete” and A. Constance (Binette) Bouchard. Tom grew up in Fairfield and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1977. Since his mother’s death, he has lived in Topsham for the last seven years with his brother, Jim, and his family. Tom was most proud of being godfather to his niece, Ally Bouchard, daughter of John and Jeanne Bouchard. This was a role he took very seriously until the very end.
Thanks to a loving family and a strong spirit, Tom kept a positive attitude and found peace in the little things throughout his life. His employers and family shared that he was always pleasant, had an incredible work ethic, and was kind and always easy going. He worked for Independence Associates, Peoples Plus and was a newspaper carrier for the Brunswick Times Record for six years. He loved spending time with his family at Sebago Lake, fishing in Kingfield, playing golf, going out to breakfast or just sitting and talking about things we did when we were young.
Tom was a brother to Frank and Peter Bouchard of Fairfield, Jim Bouchard and Theresa Hodge of Topsham, Marian Skinner of Bowdoinham, Mark Bouchard of San Diego, Calif., Matt Bouchard of Grovetown, Ga., and John Bouchard of Goshen, N.Y. He was also a loving uncle to 18 children; and a great- uncle to one.
Tom will be missed by all that knew him. He was loved by so many and will be remembered as a kind and gentle person who loved without reservation.
Condolences may be shared with the family at www.thefortingrouplewiston.com.
