OQUOSSOC — The Rangeley Lakes Region Historical Society is inviting the public to a celebration of the new monument and exhibit honoring the famous Rangeley Boat at 11 a.m. on June 7.

The festivities will take place at the new monument located on the grounds of the Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum at the corner of Routes 4 and 17. A brief dedication ceremony will be followed by a complimentary lemonade and cookie social as well as free admission to the museum for all who attend.

A brick walkway and base will provide an opportunity to support the Historical Society’s preservation and history sharing efforts through the purchase of personalized bricks in honor or in memory of special people or places in the donor’s heart. FMI: 207-864-3091.
