FARMINGTON — A Wilton man pleaded guilty Thursday to sexually touching a girl under age 14 in July 2012.

Justice William Stokes sentenced Christopher Malone, 21, to one year in jail, all suspended, and one year of probation. He ordered Malone not to have contact with females under age 16, except at family gatherings or unless supervised by a parent. Malone is allowed to have contact with his daughter, Stokes said.

Malone is also to continue sexual abuse counseling and can’t have a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher.

Malone was fined $200 each for two separate charges of violating conditions of release.

In another case, the state dismissed felony counts of gross sexual assault and unlawful sexual contact against Joseph K. Champagne, 38, of Wilton.

Champagne pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of assault and was fined $300.

He had been accused of sexually assaulting a woman with a mental disability on March 18, 2014.
