1932 – 2015
SABATTUS — Barbara Janet Julian, surrounded by her family, went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 5.
She was born on Jan. 18, 1932.
The best way to remember Barbara was that she loved every person she met. Each one benefited from the warmth of her heart.
Barbara loved all things beautiful. She maintained a beautiful garden at home. She and Phil took the family on many drives over the years. Barbara wanted her family to see and to appreciate all the beauty of God’s creation. She was often seen climbing over rocks at the ocean, walking, playing ball or swimming with her kids and grandchildren. She was active in her church and valued by all. She was very creative and had many creative hobbies. For much of her life she made most of her children’s clothes. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Philip Julian; and their 10 children, Jeri Elliott and spouse, Thomas, Janet Stamboules and spouse, George, Laura Anderson, Robert Julian, David Julian and spouse, Tara, Tracy Love and spouse, Stephen, Susan Lansley and spouse, Scott, Diane Burns and spouse, Todd, Ruthann Weece and spouse, Joseph, Philip Julian and spouse, Sherri. Barbara and Philip have 23 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
She was predeceased by her father, Rudolf Duncan; mother, Florence Duncan; and her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Robert Bodiford.
