Stephens High Class of ’53 to meet

RUMFORD — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1953 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at River Valley Grill.

Waterford Historical Society to host annual meeting

WATERFORD — The Waterford Historical Society will begin its summer schedule with the annual meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, at the Old Town House (next to Keoka Town Beach) in Waterford Flat.

The program for the evening is “Our Geologic History” by Jim Dover. There will be potluck refreshments. This begins a series of events for looking at the town’s mining past.

The July 9 meeting will be on “Rocks and Minerals in Waterford”at the Wilkins House followed by a tour of local mines on July 11.

‘Souper’ supper at Chesterville Grange

CHESTERVILLE — Chesterville Grange will hold a “souper” supper on Friday, June 12, serving between 5 and 6:30 p.m. There will be homemade soups, chowders and dessert for $5, adults; $2.50, children.

Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club to hold workshop

PARIS — Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will hold a workshop at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road.

Ken Record and Jerry Record will demonstrate splitting bee. Weather permitting, there will be an open hive with a Top Bar Hive, Warre Hive and the Club’s Hive, and participants should bring veils.

Center to hold craft/vendor/yard sale

NORWAY — The Progress Center will host an “Early Bird Gets the Worm” craft/vendor/yard sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at 35 Cottage St.

In addition to the yard sale the event will feature vendors.

The Progress Center is a nonprofit agency that provides support services to adults and children with developmental, intellectual and physical disabilities.

West Paris Library to entertain reunion attendees

WEST PARIS — The West Paris Alumni Association will gather for an Alumni Banquet on Saturday, June 13. The West Paris Library will host a social time before the gathering from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

The Friends of the West Paris Library are inviting attendees and their guests to take a walk down memory lane while viewing photos and memorabilia, including a display of the mills of West Paris and school photos.

The yearbooks from the West Paris High School will be there too, courtesy of the West Paris Historical Society. Light snacks will be served.
