FARMINGTON — The realtors of Franklin County named Gloria McGraw Realtor of the Year at a meeting at Saddleback ski area in Rangeley recently.

Fifty area real estate agents attended the annual meeting and awards, which are determined by a committee of previous nominees. Juanita Bean made the presentation to McGraw. The Realtor of the Year Award is based on service to the industry, as well as community service efforts.

McGraw is owner/designated broker at County Seat Realty, 186 Main St., Farmington. She is president of the Mountains Council, as well as a contributor to the formation of that group many years ago. She has served on various real estate committees: Kennebec Valley Board education chairman, Convention Committee, Grievance Committee, MAR Board and Nomination Committee.

She is a member of the Farmington Planning Board and the Farmington Tax Abatement Committee. She is active in Farmington Rotary and a member of the Farmington Historical Society. She is involved in the Farmington Downtown Association, helping with downtown festivals, cleanup activities on Earth Day, beautification efforts, concerts and various fundraising activities.

She is married to Richard McGraw, a retired optometrist. They have a blended family of five children and spouses, 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
