Dennis Wilson McLaughlin
1945-2015
Dennis Wilson McLaughlin, 69, passed away on June 3, 2015 at the Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris, with his loving family by his side.
He was born on July 9, 1945 in Phillips, the son of Kenneth and Ruby (Avery) McLaughlin. He attended the schools of Phillips and graduated from Phillips High School in the class of 1963. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Dennis married Nyoka Campbell on Feb. 5, 1966 at the United Methodist Church in Phillips.
In his early years, he worked at the Oxford Paper Co.. In 1971, he began working for John J. Nissens Baking Co as a bread salesman, retiring in 1996. Dennis was a lifetime member of the Elks Club in West Farmington, Phillips Horseshoe Club, Phillips Cribbage Players, and golf clubs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. The joys of his life were his four grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ledgeview Living Center for their special care that he received during his illness.
He is survived by; his wife of 49 years, Nyoka McLaughlin of Phillips; his daughter, Denise Goulet and husband Dennis of Bradford; his son, Daniel McLaughlin of Phillips; his grandchildren, John Daniel Goulet and Shandi Goulet of Bradford, Jake McLaughlin of Phillips, Baylie McLaughlin of Strong; his sister, Clarice Hodges and husband Lorrimer of Dixfield.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Mile Square Cemetery in Avon with Pastor Constance Maginnis officiating. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan & Scott’s Cremation & Funeral Service, 68 Main St., Phillips, ME 04966.
