AUBURN — Saint Dominic Academy’s 71st graduation ceremony took place May 22 at the Auburn campus.

Bishop Deeley, school board members, President Donald Fournier, Principal Joline Girouard and alumni from the classes of 1950 and 1965 were in attendance to see the Class of 2015 culminate their St. Dom’s education.

All 62 seniors were recognized on a personal level with anecdotes from Fournier prior to receiving a diploma for their educational achievements.

“This is a high-caliber group of students from whom we expect great things,” said Mr. Fournier. “I am impressed by their academic achievements and their faithfulness to the Catholic virtues of community service.”

Valedictorian, Anya Lee and Salutatorian Samantha Ladd spoke to their classmates about their experiences with one another over the last several years. Samantha Ladd reflected on her interactions with each class member and said, “We shared experiences that united us. By our junior year we started to truly know each and every member of our class on a personal level.”

Following Samantha’s speech, Anya Lee articulated how she has been impacted by her Catholic education. “St. Dom’s has taught us that it isn’t enough to merely say what we think is right and wrong; we must show it in our deeds. This will serve us well as we go out in the world.”

“This senior class is and always will be very special to me,” said Girouard. “I have watched them grow and become young adults. I am very proud of their accomplishments as they move on to the next chapter of their lives.”

The days leading up to graduation included a Baccalaureate Mass and awards banquet. Several students received recognition for their involvement in the arts, math, science, academic standing and extracurricular involvement around the St. Dom’s community. A few students were awarded college scholarship based on their scholastic performance.

6. Emily Martin (daughter of Lloyd Martin & M. Elizabeth Martin)

7. Jessica Boulet (daughter of James and Nicole Boulet)

8. Nicole Robitaille (daughter of Marc & Brenda Robitaille)

9. Zoë Caron (daughter of Tammy Caron)

10. Keenan Lynch (son of Scott and Darlene Lynch).
