Plantation board to meet
LITCHFIELD — Smithfield Plantation Board of Directors meeting will be held Wednesday, June 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Litchfield Town Office.
Schooner Estates to award Judith Isaacson
AUBURN — Schooner Estates will hold an event to present resident Judith Isaacson with a Remember ME Lifetime Achievement award at 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 19.
The award was officially bestowed by the Maine Health Care Association last month at an event in Augusta, but Judith was unable to attend.
Her many achievements include writing a seminal memoir of surviving Auschwitz and a Nazi-controlled slave labor camp, as well as her push for women’s rights as Dean of Students at Bates College.
The award will be presented at a short ceremony to be attended by her family, her fellow Schooner Estates residents and notable community members.
Lifetree Café to hold event
LEWISTON — The Lifetree Café will host an event called “How to Spot a Liar: Secrets from a Former FBI Agent” at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 25.
The program will feature a filmed interview with FBI counterintelligence officer John Schafer.

Savvy Caregiver Training to be held in Lewiston
LEWISTON – SeniorsPlus announces Savvy Caregiver 1 training scheduled in Androscoggin county.
This training will help people caring for a family members with dementia learn how to reduce stress and communicate more easily with the loved one.
This is a 6-week workshop, with each session lasting two hours. This class is free but pre-registration is required.

Norway Savings Bank Arena to host craft/vendor fair
AUBURN — The Norway Savings Bank Arena will host a craft/vendor fair from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 27.
The event is being held to raise awareness for traumatic brain injuries. Information will be available about TBIs. Donations accepted.
