AUBURN — A Celebration of Life Service honoring the life of Emma Louise (Tillman) Jackson was celebrated on Saturday, June 13, at the Christ Temple Church of God In Christ in Auburn. Bishop Steve Coleman officiated the service and recited committal prayers at Mount Auburn Cemetery on Monday, June 15.

During the service, The Prayer of Comfort was read by Elder Albert R. Jackson, Pastor of the Church. The Hymn of Joy, “When We All Get to Heaven” was sung by the choir. The Scripture Reading was read by Deacon Antoine Walton and the Reading of the Resolution was read by Deacon Duane A. Grandsoult. Words of Expression and Reflections were expressed by the Rev. Elder Albert R. Jackson; Mother Doris K. Ade, supervisor, Women’s Dept. (Maine Jurisdiction); District Missionary Carrie Hull-Chandler, Christ Temple Church; and Brother Lonzel Jackson of the Jackson Family. The sermonic solo was sung by Sister Tiffany N. Warren. The recessional song, “I’ll Fly Away” was sung by the choir in honor of Emma Louise Jackson. The pallbearers were Keith Gibson II, Donte Hill, Troy Hill, Scott Jordan, Phillip Warren and Charles Warren II.

Following the services, all were invited to a reception of fellowship at the church dining hall.
